A bit about me

As a passionate art director, graphic designer and photographer, my approach is always inquisitive and collaborative and I believe in conceptual ideas, research and crafted aesthetics.
I develop branding and visual communication for a wide range of clients across disciplines, working with a network of creative collaborators to tailor each individual project.

At the age of 19 I moved to Copenhagen to study graphic design. After acquiring a Bachelor at The Graphic Arts Institute of Denmark in 2010, I spent a year freelancing in Sydney, before founding my Malmö-based studio in 2012.
With over a decade in the industry, I have acquired a deep understanding of branding and visual communication, as well as a refined skill set within the creative process and the craft of design. Between 2013 to 2015 I was employed at the Stockholm based design studio Amore. Since 2016 I've been freelancing regularly for IKEA, creating everything from PR images and films to print and digital content.
Feel free to get in touch for inquiries, collaborations or just a coffee. You’ll reach me at studio@anjaemzen.com or on my phone +46 (0)73 775 15 56.

Our Story

Mica, Janet and Mateo met while pursuing their Masters degrees in fine arts. Propelled by their mutual love for craftsmanship and attention to detail, they collaborated on everything from public art pieces to a five-star restaurant.

In 2016, they set their sights on the world of skincare. Unhappy with the offerings of mass-produced products, they knew there had to be a better way. Within a year they launched Salt+Less with the groundbreaking Skin Creme, and quickly expanded to a full suite of skincare creations.

They now live in Brooklyn balancing life, work and dog care.

The future is simple.
